1. How High Can You Go? Before you buy any heels, make sure you figure out the maximum height you can carry or you are very comfortable with and won't make you fall or suffer agony of toes or kneel pains.  If you are a starter, you can start with 3-4 inch heel and you will still feel very powerful and great in it.

2.  Select Your Comfortable Shoe Size:  Most ladies always go for shoes that are not their size so it can be fit, but later end up crying after so much pain from the tight shoes.  When wearing high heel shoes above 1-2 inch height difference, your feet will tend to be pushed forward in your shoes. If you are uncertain about your real size, simply take time and effort to get an exact measurement. Then choose a size larger that you would normally wear to avoid unhealthy effect.

3,  Open or shut? Make sure you have decided your best shoe type. Open toe of closed toe high heel shoes. Do not jam your foot into high heels shoe or buy a shoe that you will have to force your toe to get in. If your toes always give you problem or they are long, you can always go for open heels shoe to avoid any discomfort.

4. Practice Standing With Your Shoe: If you are a starter or you just got this new heel shoes and you are not sure if you can walk with it, you can start practicing by standing with the new shoe. Try standing in you high heels shoe for minutes everyday till the day you want to wear the shoe. practice standing for about 10-15 minutes daily. The exercise will get your feet accustomed to the shoe and it will gently stretch the shoe to the shape of your foot.

5.  Get Ready To Work:  Yes, the final day has come for the shoe, the shoe looks great and you are finally ready to put on the shoe, but be very careful.. Slow down... you just graduated to the walking level so don't rush. Walk on the heels for about 20 minutes before the main day so you don't have difficulties walking properly and take little steps and increase your walking distance around the house or wherever you are.... one at a time and before you know it, you are walking elegantly in your new heels.
Everything in life has to do with practice.. practice they say makes perfect...
