The Director, Media and Information of the BSO, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, made the call on Monday in Abuja at a news conference.
According to Maduekwe, this is the time for security agencies to show their neutrality by arresting Fani-Kayode because the only authority to announce election results is the Independent National Electoral Commission.

As at yesterday, The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) released the list of broadcasting stations that contravened the provisions of the Nigeria Broadcasting code from the beginning of electioneering campaign to date.
According to Moji Delano,a statement signed by the commission’s Director/Head, Public Affairs, Alhaji Awwalu Salihu, in Abuja, said the contraventions included breaches of the rules on the broadcast of sponsored campaign materials.Other breaches were the airing of campaign materials or program that promoted political parties or candidates within the 24-hour prohibited period, as well as unauthorized networking by a group of stations.

Very early today, unknown gunmen stormed Tafawa Balewa town in a convoy of Eighteen Hilux vehicles and started firing sporadically in different direction.

Election Death: Woman Kills Husband Over Choice Of Presidential Candidate
Angry 26 year old pregnant wife allegedly killed her husband during a quarrel that involved which presidential candidate that will emerge as the over all winner of the elections. The incident which happened in Ejigbo had to get the attention of the Police and the woman has been arrested by the Lagos State police.
According to Vanguard reports ,the incident, which threw the densely populated area into disarray, occurred at about 12 Noon inside the couple’s one room apartment at 81 Military zone junction.
There were different accounts on how tragedy struck. A version of the account said the couple had divergent views on their choice of presidential candidates. While the husband was said to have decided to vote for the PDP, his wife, simply called Onyiyechi, reportedly chose to vote for the presidential candidate of the APC. An argument which degenerated into a fight over whose choice would hold sway reportedly ensued between them.

INEC Postpones Elections In 18 Yobe Polling Units Due To Insecurity
Due to security challenges, Resident Electoral Commissioner in Yobe, Habu Zarma, yesterday said the electoral commission, INEC, had postponed elections indefinitely in 18 polling units in Geidam Local Government Area of the state due to security challenges. According to Information Nigeria, He told journalists in Damaturu, the state capital that security challenges in the council area had scared adhoc staff from going to conduct election in the affected units on Saturday and Sunday.

INEC To Release Presidential Election Result By 6pm Today
The Independent National Electoral Commission Deputy Director Publicity, Nick Dazang, has said the final collation of results for the presidential and National Assembly elections will commence at the INEC National Collation Centre, Abuja, by 12 noon today.
He said collation of results is currently at the various levels in all the states and that results from only two states could be said to have come in.
