Foodie Friday: How To Make Home Made Sausage Rolls-Photos

Are you a lover of sausage rolls,you want to try out some baking skills or you are craving for it currently, GD have got you covered.

The following steps are easy ways to make great Sausage Rolls

INGREDIENTS

250G ready rolled short crust pastry

250G sausage or sausage meat

Beaten egg for glazing

PREPARATION

1. Make the short crust pastry and roll in to a along oblong shape

2. Season the sausage with salt, seasoning of your choice and pepper. (The better and more spiced the sausage or sausage meat you use for your filling, the better the finish product will be)

3. Divide into equal-sized pieces, dip each piece in flour and form into a roll.

4. Cut the pastry into long oblong strips that is big enough to cover the rolled sausage pieces

5. Place a piece of sausage in each pastry strip, damp the edges of the pastry

6. Fold the pastry over the sausage

7. You can make slits across the top of each roll to allow steam to escape during baking

8. Apply the beaten egg with a brush to give glazed finish

9. Bake in a hot over (Temperature 170 to 150c/ gas4) for 15 minutes, then lower the heat and bake for another 10-15 minutes.

10. When it is done, you can cut them into bite-sized pieces and serve with drinks.
