
Cardinal Edward Egan, retired New York Archbishop, has died at age 82. He led Archdiocese during Sept. 11 attacks.
The former head of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, died at a hospital in Manhattan Thursday. Egan was pronounced dead at NYU Langone Medical Center at 2:20 p.m. after going into cardiac arrest, Archdiocese officials say.
