Guru in bling: Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has an estimated net worth of £26m and has 50 million followers worldwide
I wonder if some people really read their Bible or they just want to be foolish... how will you cut your man thing because you want to get closer to God???
In a very shocking, bizarre story, currently making waves online, a religious leader is facing criminal charges for HYPNOTISING hundreds of men to castrate themselves.
Multi-millionaire religious "guru" Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is said to have persuaded around 400 of his estimated 50 million followers worldwide to cut off their own testicles to "bring them closer to God".
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is head of the socio-spiritual organisation Dera Sacha Sauda.
The details of the bizarre incident have only just come to light despite reportedly taking place in 2000 at a hospital run by Ram Rahim in India.

India's Central Bureau of Investigation has reportedly accused Ram Rahim of grievous bodily harm and he is under investigation.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)—which has been camping in Sirsa, Haryana, for almost a week now—has collected important evidence against the head of Dera Sacha Sauda, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
Sources in the agency said that the CBI team, which had returned empty-handed last time it was in Sirsa, has now gathered important information regarding the mass castration of Dera followers.
Last time, under the Dera’s influence, victims of castration and their relatives had not cooperated with the CBI.
A former Dera follower and the only witness in the case, Hans Raj Chauhan, who deposed before the Punjab and Hayana High Court, recently told DailyMail that most of the victims feared for their lives and, thus, could not speak against Ram Rahim.
Some also feared social stigma if they narrated the ordeal, Chauhan said.
Meanwhile, sources said Chauhan has recorded a fresh statement before the CBI but Chauhan refused to comment about the same.
The CBI team also visited Ram Rahim’s ancestral village, Gurusar Modia in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan, on Tuesday to quiz doctors and staff of a hospital being run by the Dera.
The castrations, according to Chauhan, were performed in the Dera hospital.
Chauhan, in his petition, had alleged that he, along with 400 other followers, were lured by the Dera chief to get their testicles removed on the pretext of an opportunity to meet god directly.
The controversial religious leader has also been previously been questioned over the murder of an investigative journalist in 2002 and has also been accused of sexual assault by female followers but has never been charged.
Ram Rahim, 47, dubbed the "guru in bling", is estimated to be worth £26m.
The guru stars in a spectacular new movie, Messenger of God, in which he appears to walk on air, tear tree trunks in half and perform other miracles. Though 157,000 people are thought to have attended the film's premiere in Gurgaon, near Delhi, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, the revelations have caused sales of tickets for the movie to dwindle dramatically.

Gurus are big business in India, where their endorsements can help political parties get elected, and where millions of people seek spiritual guidance every year. Sathya Sai Baba, who was said to be able to conjure ash from thin air, was worth an estimated US$7bn when he died.
Even after death, some gurus retain a hold over devotees. Ashutosh Maharaj, who was certified deceased by medical examiners last year, has had his body frozen by followers who apparently believe he is merely in a state of deep meditation called "samadhi".
