US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. James F. Entwistle, at a press conference during the premiere of the movie, Selma, in Lagos last weekend dismissed claims that it predicted the split of Nigeria in 2015 because of its current socio-political problems.
While dismissing the claims, the US Ambassador stated that Nigeria is not the only country in the world with problems and challenges.

Entwistle noted that his country, the United States has had its fair share of political challenges and that did not make it to split.
The ambassador added that Nigeria is a strong country that has not shown any sign of disintegration. He wondered why people predict doom for the country rather than work towards its strength.
