Bayelsa PDP Chairman Suspended over Misappropriation of N40m



The Bayelsa state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Col. Samuel Inokoba is embroiled in controversy over allegations of misconduct and misappropriation of N40 million, provided for the party by the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Dr. Diezani Allison-Madueke. Col. Inokoba has been suspended along with some officials from the State Working Committee (SWC), after an exhaustive deliberation by members of the State Executive Committee (SEC), SaharaReporters revealed.


Confirming the suspension State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Barr. Osom Makbere said decision of the SEC has been forwarded to the National Leadership of the Party for ratification.

Barr. Osom noted that announcement is in accordance with the Party constitution, it is expected that the Deputy Chairman of the Party, King Serena Dokubo-Spiff will take charge of the running of the Party within the next 30 days.
